Festool is expanding its established battery range with two new compact Bluetooth® batteries that enable mobile dust extractors to be conveniently switched on and off via the cordless tool.

In addition to the Bluetooth® battery packs that are already on the market – the BP 18 Li 5.2 ASI and BP 18 Li 6.2 ASI – two new compact models with Bluetooth functionality are now available too: The first is the new 18-volt Ergo BP 18 Li 3.1 Ergo-I battery pack with built-in Bluetooth® function, which has been seamlessly integrated into the design of the cordless compact sander and developed exclusively for use with the RTSC 400, DTSC 400 and ETSC 125 models. Its lightweight, ergonomic structure maximises flexibility in mobile and dust-free sanding work, especially in indoor living spaces. The second new product is the compact 18-volt Bluetooth® BP 18 Li 3.1 CI battery. Weighing just 400 g, this equally lightweight yet powerful battery is ideal for all kinds of dust-free work, such as low-dust drilling in living areas using the BHC 18 hammer drill. When used in combination with the Festool drilling dust nozzle, this creates the perfect set-up for working comfortably without the tedious task of having to switch the extractor on manually. The Bluetooth® receiver module required to switch on the extractor remotely can be retrofitted to the CT 26, CT 36 and CT 48 mobile dust extractors, while the new CT MINI and CT MIDI compact dust extractors are equipped with the Bluetooth® function ex works. The two new Bluetooth® BP 18 Li 3.1 Ergo-I and BP 18 Li 3.1 CI battery packs and the new compact dust extractor with integrated Bluetooth function will be available from specialist retailers from January 2019.
