Lightweight, compact, versatile and surprisingly powerful. Both 12 V compact drill/drivers, the CXS 12 and the TXS 12, are a great aid for a wide range of everyday tasks. Even in tight spots and corners, these all-rounders show no signs of weakness.

Compact design and impressive performance for its small size: These are the secrets to the success of the CXS 12 and TXS 12 cordless drill/drivers. The CXS/TXS 12 perfectly complement the larger CXS/TXS 18 models. All attachments from the 18-volt drill/drivers fit the smaller models without any hassle. The compact battery pack is compatible with all chargers in the 18-volt portfolio. A TCL 6 charger is already included in the scope of delivery. The new stars of the compact class make light work of any small-scale or medium-scale assembly jobs, thanks to their powerful brushless EC-TEC motor. As the name suggests, the two compact drill screwdrivers are available in the C and T design. The unique C-shape, which is typical of Festool, allows for precise drilling and screwdriving work in the drilling and screwdriving axis; while the classic T shape ensures easy handling and a close proximity to the workpiece. Both C and T designs are technically identical – regardless of whether it's the T or the iconic C design: When it comes to ergonomics, both all-rounders impress in every respect. Both models boast incredibly compact dimensions and low weight too. This means assembly tasks in confined spaces pose no problem. Even with the battery and the belt clip attached, both drill/drivers weigh in at only 1200 grams. The FastFix interface and the CENTROTEC system ensure fast tool changes. Numerous attachments can be used with the CXS/TXS 12 and extend the radius of action enormously.

Compact cordless power – extensive features

The CXS/TXS 12 is equipped with a range of helpful features: With a bit holder, LED light control, belt clip and a compact battery, the new CXS/TXS 12 leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to making your work easier. And at the same time, they embody the principle of flexibility in screwdriving and drilling, because all attachments of the current Festool 18 V cordless drill/drivers are also compatible with the new CXS/TXS 12.
The integrated LED light allows for precise work even in dark corners. The easy-to-reach adjusting wheel can be used to set continuous illumination, afterglow or LED off. Adjusting the torque is also child's play, using the adjusting wheel. The belt clip, which not only keeps the tool at your fingertips, but also keeps your hands free when you need them, can be positioned for right- and left-handed users. The integrated bit holder provides a space to hold several bits. They are even magnetically secured against falling out. For lightning-fast changes between drilling, countersinking and screwdriving: The tried-and-tested CENTROTEC tool chuck is a chuck and bit holder in one. It is suitable for use with numerous Festool CENTROTEC accessories. The advantage: It is only half the size of a standard drill chuck and 80 percent lighter too. At just 1200 grams, both all-rounders offer impressively lightweight capability.

Festool's battery-powered universe: There's more to it than "just" power

"Battery technology and battery-powered devices are a key trend on the tools market. We have tailored our strategy to reflect this, and are continuously expanding our portfolio. We're not just blindly pursuing a strategy of using battery technology just for the sake of it – we want to take a more purposeful approach to ascertain how battery technology might best serve the application in question. We are all about delivering the best results, making sure that things work perfectly, and we also want to make the work of tradespeople easier, safer and better," says Sascha Menges, CEO of Festool GmbH. This commitment is embodied in exemplary fashion by the latest additions to the Festool cordless family, in particular the new CSC SYS 50 cordless table saw, the TSC 55 KEB plunge-cut saw and the QUADRIVE TPC cordless impact drill/driver and the ExoActive exoskeleton due to launch later in 2023.

The new CXS 12 and TXS 12 cordless drill/drivers are available in specialist retailers from October 2023. For further information, visit www.festool.co.uk
