Lightweight, compact, versatile and surprisingly powerful. The two 18 V CXS 18 and TXS 18 compact screwdrivers are two first-class helpers for a wide range of everyday tasks. The two all-rounders do not show any weaknesses in tight spots or corners either.

Compact design and impressive performance for the compact class: These are the ingredients of the two cordless drill/drivers CXS 18 and TXS 18. The new aces in the compact class master any assembly task, no matter how demanding, with gusto thanks to their powerful brushless EC-TEC motor. As the name suggests, the two compact drill screwdrivers are available in the C and T design. The unique C-shape, which is typical to Festool, allows for precise work in the drilling and screwdriving axis. While the classic T shape ensures easy handling and a short distance from the workpiece. Both C and T designs are technically identical – regardless of whether it's the T or the iconic C design: When it comes to ergonomics, both all-rounders are impressive all along the line. A fast tool change is secured by the FastFix interface and the CENTROTEC system. Numerous attachments can be used with the CXS/TXS 18 and extend the radius of action enormously.

Full battery power – full equipment
The CXS/TXS 18 is therefore optimally equipped: With bit garage, LED light control, belt clip and a powerful 18 V battery, the new CXS/TXS 18 leaves nothing to be desired for easier work. The motto here is: Flexible screwdriving and drilling, because all attachments of the current Festool 18 V cordless drill/drivers are also compatible with the new CXS/TXS 18. Added to this is a simple and fast tool change thanks to the proven CENTROTEC system and FastFix interface. The CXS/TXS 18 also impresses with its performance during power-intensive work with Forstner drills up to 35 mm and screws up to 6 x 240 mm in softwood (countersunk screw with partial thread). All 18 V battery packs fit on the CXS/TXS 18 (except for the Ergo battery pack). The integrated LED light allows for precise work even in dark corners. Furthermore, continuous lighting, afterglow or LED off can be controlled via the easy-to-reach adjusting wheel. Adjusting the torque via the adjusting wheel is also child's play. The brightness and duration of the afterglow can also be personalised via the Festool Work App (Bluetooth® battery pack required). You can also use the app to easily configure the right-hand/left-hand selector. For left-handed people, the Work App can be used to reverse the right-hand/left-hand selector switch such that the switch no longer causes disruption by protruding into the handle area during the main application – in clockwise rotation (only in combination with a Bluetooth® battery pack). Not just always at your fingertips, but also keeps your hands free at the right moment: The belt clip can be positioned for right- and left-handed individuals. The integrated bit garage offers space for holding several bits. The latter are magnetically secured against falling out. For instantly changing between drilling, countersinking and screwdriving: The tried-and-tested CENTROTEC tool chuck is a chuck and bit holder in one. It is suitable for use with numerous Festool CENTROTEC accessories. The advantage: It is only half the size and 80 percent lighter than a standard drill chuck. With a length of 14 (TXS)/15.6 (CXS) cm and a height of 22.4 (TXS)/20.6 (CXS) cm (incl. 3.0 Ah battery), the CXS/TXS 18 is not just impressively strong, but it is also extremely compact.

Festool's battery-powered universe: There's more to it than "just" power
"Battery technology and battery-powered devices are a significant trend on the tools market. We have tailored our strategy to reflect this and are continuously expanding our portfolio. We're not just blindly pursuing a strategy of using battery technology just for the sake of it – we want to take a more purposeful approach to ascertain how battery technology might best serve the application in question. We want to optimise the results so that the products are perfect for their applications, and we want to make work easier, safer and better for tradespeople," says Sascha Menges, CEO of Festool GmbH. This commitment is embodied in exemplary fashion by the latest additions to the Festool 18 Volt system. In particular, the new CSC SYS 50 cordless bench-mounted circular saw, the TSC 55 KEB plunge-cut saw, the QUADRIVE TPC 18 cordless impact screwdriver and the ExoActive exoskeleton that will be released in the course of 2023.
