The first indispensable Festool accessories are the new GRANAT starter set and the newly equipped abrasives Systainer. The GRANAT starter set is the starting point for any sander and contains sanding discs in grit sizes P60, P80, P120, P180, P220 and P350. The new abrasives Systainers not only help you to stay organised in your daily work, they also have the right grit size for any sanding application. With 20x GRANAT sanding discs each in grit sizes P60, P80, P120, P150, P180 and P220, you have the relevant discs to hand for every sanding task. The GRANAT sanding discs are specially suited to VOC varnishes and hard substrates. Thanks to the special coating, clogging is avoided and a long service life thus ensured. The GRANAT abrasive can also be used to machine other substrates without problems. The other main applications include machining modern paint systems, plastics, mineral materials, acrylic, repair compounds and fillers. In addition, the compartments in the abrasives Systainer allow you to sort your materials by grit size. The Systainers provide optimum protection for abrasives against external influences such as dust, spraying water or bending. They also allow you to professionally transport your abrasives to the construction site. A feature that is typical of Festool products is that the Systainers are compatible with each other and can therefore be connected to all previous Systainer generations as well as many machines and accessories. The GRANAT abrasive system and the relevant Systainers are suitable for painters, varnishers and joiners. The new GRANAT starter set and the new abrasives Systainers will be available from selected specialist dealers from May 2024.

Better sawing with higher-precision results

 When sawing, it all comes down to having the perfect combination of saw, material and saw blade. Festool has specially developed the new T2 diamond scoring saw blade for the TSV 60 K plunge-cut saw with scoring function for machining laminated chipboard in furniture construction. "We continually develop our products and matching accessories further in close cooperation with our tradespeople. They had expressed a need for a product that would more reliably enable splinter-free sawing in different or varying chipboard qualities with higher feed speeds. We developed the new T2 diamond saw blade especially for this requirement. With this saw blade, chipboard of all qualities can be sawed neatly and without splinters," explains Boris Seyfried, Product Manager for Sawing at Festool.
Other new additions to the range include the "All-rounder" and "Special" jigsaw blade sets. Both versions come in a practical saw blade box – so that you always have the right saw blade to hand. The all-rounder set includes a jigsaw blade mix for wood, metal and plastic. It consists of five different jigsaw blades in total. These blades deliver outstanding results for work with wood materials, plastic and metal. The set is therefore the perfect all-rounder for numerous applications. The special set consists of four different jigsaw blades and enables outstanding results for work with plastic, metal, construction materials and abrasive materials. It is therefore perfectly suited to the most demanding applications.

Safely carry your guide rails wherever you are

The guide rail bag ensures that guide rails are perfectly protected, transported and stored. The bags have a large main compartment, in which one or two guide rails up to a length of 1900 mm (FS-BAG 1900) and 3000 mm (FS-BAG 3000) can be housed. In addition, there is another bag, in which there is space for accessories, such as connectors, fastening clamps or the FS-WA/90° angle stop. The bags offer protection against dirt and damage, and thus increase the service life of the guide rail. In addition, the bags' shoulder strap means that they are very comfortable to wear.

Routing: LED light ring for the OF 1010

Another clever new addition to the range of accessories for the OF 1010 REBQ (from production month 09/2021) is the LED light ring. It is easy to retrofit and provides shadow-free lighting from all sides in two brightness levels. The light ring is directly integrated into the base plate and is therefore close to the workpiece. Simply insert the light ring and click in the battery unit. The light remains fitted on the router and the battery unit can be removed as required. Thanks to the integrated USB-C interface, it can be easily recharged and offers up to six hours of light.
