With the Work app from Festool

 

With the new Work app, the range of applications offered by Festool features a new smart helper. Among other features, this app offers an overview of remaining warranty times, all the ways to contact Festool SERVICE that users need, and a list of nearby dealers. The Work app communicates with the battery pack via Bluetooth® and displays the battery level, temperature, number of previous charging cycles and the last known location. With the new Work app, users can easily register all of their tools for the free Festool "Warranty all-inclusive" service package, register for warranties and manage them using their smartphone.

"The intelligent implementation of connected solutions for trade plays an important role for us when developing new tools. We want to provide our users with intelligent functions that offer them real added value in their day-to-day work and make their lives easier. The Order app has already significantly simplified the order process for accessories and consumables. Using Bluetooth®, the new Work app enables intelligent connected services such as live communication between the Bluetooth® battery and smartphone," explains Michael Betz, the product manager responsible for app development at Festool.

 

A real help for your daily routine
The new Work app enables quick, uncomplicated registration and management for all Festool tools and batteries. The app is linked to your personal MyFestool customer account (requires an existing account), displays all registered tools and allows users to manage them. Using the integrated scan function, users can register their tools for "Warranty all-inclusive" in just a few simple steps, which allows them to benefit from additional advantages such as the "Full repair, free of charge" policy or theft protection. Users can also access a comprehensive, detailed overview of all their conventional and Bluetooth®-compatible Festool tools. Battery packs can be paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth® and display useful live data such as battery level, temperature and the number of previous charging cycles at a glance. The app notifies the user about any flat batteries at the storage location. Practical: If the battery is paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth®, users can also view the last known location of the battery. The app can also be used to easily update the Bluetooth® battery software using Bluetooth® technology. Furthermore, the app allows users to easily access the Festool SERVICE range. Practical: Repair work orders can now also be created directly using the Work app. The customer is continuously kept up to date regarding the status of the repair via e-mail or SMS. With the international dealer search function, users can quickly and easily find a suitable dealer near them, even when working abroad. Thanks to its clearly organised operation and self-explanatory navigation, users can access the function they need in just a few steps using the Work app.


The functions of the Work app at a glance

  • Under the "Tools" menu option, users will find a detailed overview of all registered Festool tools, both conventional and Bluetooth®-compatible.
  • Practical connected functions: Battery status view including the number of previous charging cycles and temperature

Under "Profile", users can modify and update their MyFestool account.
