As the perfect extension of the system solutions, Festool Connected enables a simple, digital overview of all Bluetooth®-compatible products and services. This is straightforward process configured according to individual requirements or can provide rapid assistance for a special application.

The Festool apps relieve the boss from tasks such as the time-consuming creation of shopping lists. They are also designed to help when the mobile dust extractor beeps and can indicate where the battery pack is located or where it was lost. With Festool Connected, Festool has connected its latest tools with the Internet of Things (IoT). The apps offer additional time-saving added value which the power tool manufacturer has programmed for tradespeople directly in the hand and directly on the smartphone or tablet. In this way, Festool Connected ranges from a digital organisation system to features that are as yet one of a kind.

Festool products help tradespeople with their work on a daily basis. They are an essential part of the tradesperson's services and make a significant contribution to their success. The smart apps (Work app, Order app, How-to app) are perfectly tailored to the intelligent tools and extend their functions considerably. With this smart addition, users are ideally equipped for any application and achieve the required results even more quickly and easily.

The perfect solution on hand around the clock

The smart solutions from Festool provide helpful support in any work situation – whether placing a spontaneous order with a dealer, receiving perfect application tips from Festool experts or getting the right guidance if something goes wrong with the tool. The smart Festool apps will give users the help they need – simple and completely free of charge to download for Android and iOS smartphones. Here is everything at a glance:

Work app

With the Work app, it is possible to individually adjust the connected Festool tools to the work conditions, register for warranty all-inclusive or view their performance data at any time. If something should go wrong with the tool, the Work app sends the right solution via push notification directly to the smartphone. This ensures optimal work progress and perfect results.

Order app

The Order app can be used to find all Festool tools, compatible accessories and consumables. This makes it possible to easily create a digital shopping list and send this to selected dealers. A favourites function enables saved accessories or consumables to be easily re-ordered. Users can also manage all orders whilst on the go and can maintain an overview of these at all times – which ensures their everyday work is even more well organised.

How-to app*

The How-to app is the personal video guide for everything to do with Festool tools. Festool experts provide tips for applications in a practical video format. The videos are divided into individual sections. This saves time and quickly finds the advice users are looking for.

Perfect operation and simply practical

No matter whether users want to manage product data or services or individually adjust tools, with the smart apps, the tools can be configured, intuitively operated and simply set up. In this way, users are always one step ahead in providing optimal support during everyday work.

Festool Connected as the solid basis for future possibilities

The development of the apps was not just a software development for Festool, but rather another step into the IoT world or, in other words, a digital transformation of the product world. This conversion through Festool Connected is opening up completely new possibilities for the future – including in relation to tool management. When combined with the brushless EC-TEC motor technology, IoT interfaces offer a lot of potential when developing new products – but needless to say only where this makes sense for the everyday work of tradespeople, as you would expert from Festool. In future, Festool will continue to dedicate its focus to the everyday problems encountered by tradespeople in a practical manner. In this regard, tradespeople can already look forward to additional interesting, digital features in new products. In March 2021, Festool was awarded the title "Digital Champion" by Focus in cooperation with the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI).
